Symptoms |
When you try to retrieve an archived file, the following message appears in the history log: "File <xyz> retrieved successfully. However, the system encountered a problem. Please contact the Response Center." |
Cause |
This is an Oracle problem that occurs when the data is retained after Prinergy is upgraded (from 1.0 to 1.1) and the database is exported with Oracle 8.03 and imported in Oracle 8.05. All processes that rely on the database and have Mac illegal characters in the job/file names might fail. The Mac illegal characters are, during the database export/import, somehow replaced with other Mac illegal characters, so the database representation and the system/tape filenames don't match. When the file is retrieved, it will get the name from the database, and that name will be different from the original name. The file will be successfully retrieved, however the warning will appear in the history log as well as in the DIAG log. |

Solution |
Since the file is successfully retrieved despite the error message, just explain to the customer why the file name is different. Every other operation (re-refine, etc) should work with the new name. Permanent fix: |
