Symptoms |
The secondary server/render station reports loss of contact with the primary server. Red messages appear in the Diagnostics window. |
Cause |
One possible cause is that the primary server is in one AppleTalk zone and the secondary server/render station is in another. | |

Solution |
Ensure that all Prinergy servers are in the same AppleTalk zone. In Windows NT 4.0: 1) Right-click Network Neighbourhood and select Properties. The Network dialog box appears. 2) On the Services tab, select Services for Macintosh and click Properties. The Services for Macintosh dialog box appears. 3) Verify the AppleTalk zone. In Windows 2000: 1) From the Windows Start menu, select Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network and Dial-up Connections. 2) Double-click Local Area Connection. The Local Area Connection Status dialog box appears. 3) Click Properties. The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box appears. 4) Highlight AppleTalk Protocol and click Properties. The Protocol Properties dialog box appears. 5) From the 'This system will appear in zone" list, select the desired Appletalk zone. Permanent fix: |
