Symptoms |
When viewing PDF files generated in Prinergy with the ‘Split into Single Page PDF File’ option' turned on, the page label information is missing. The following warning message appears: “Register: x page(s) in the PDF file y do not have proper page labels. The page number of these pages are z. When viewing these pages in the Acrobat, the page label information is not accurate. |

Cause |
The combination of Quark and PostScript do not emit conforming DSC PostScript. Normalizer Core's DSC parser sometimes gets confused when parsing those comments, and therefore fails to extract the correct page label information. If the Normalizer Core fails to extract the correct page label information from the PostScript file poured from QuarkXPress, page label information for some of the pages may go missing in the resulting PDF file generated by the Normalizer Core. These type of non-conforming DSC PostScript may be a result of pouring PostScript from QuarkXPress using the Microsoft PScript driver. |

Solution |
Pour PostScript from QuarkXPress using the Adobe PS Driver instead of the Microsoft PScript driver. Permanent fix: |
