Cause |
As of June 30, 2007, Microsoft discontinued the use of an update server (WSUS) that Kodak used to distibute critical operating system updates. Since then, Kodak has used a replacement update server. However, some sites have encountered a problem while running the WSUS Configuration Tool that is used with the replacement update server. | ||
Solution |
For customers to continue receiving critical operating system updates, a registry setting must be changed to point to the new Kodak update server. Because a large number of servers are affected, Kodak has developed the WSUS Configuration Tool, which is available as a compressed file on Kodak eCentral®, the Internet portal. Before using the WSUS Configuration Tool utility, read Configuring Kodak Workflow Servers for Windows Updates, which is available on the eCentral portal. This document provides instructions for using the utility as well as background information. Important: The WSUS Configuration Tool modifies only operating system settings; it does not modify any Kodak software. The WSUS Configuration Tool has been updated.
