Error

DiagView may report an ALLOC FAILURE error, although output in the workflow client software is shown as successful.

Symptoms

One-bit images are missing, and lines or stripes appear in 8-bit images.

Cause

This issue appears to happen under heavy usage conditions, when the Adobe^® CPSI 3017 RIP cannot get free memory.

Solution

Restart the affected JTP and restart the server that the JTP resides on.

Prinergy Connect 3.1.0.7 and 4.0.2.1, and Prinergy Evo 4.0.6.0 will now fail the task when this issue occurs, making it easier for the operator to identify when it has occurred. For sites running prior versions, users are advised to review output.
