ERROR: Failed to load RBA configuration file
ERROR: RBA not properly installed

Symptoms

The Prinergy software fails to upgrade to version 4.0.2.1, and rolls back to the previous version. The error message appears.

Cause

The PPU is unable to locate the Rules-Based Automation(RBA) files on the render station because they are not installed. When it cannot locate them, it fails.

Solution

Copy the RBA files from the primary server to the render station.

  1. On the primary server, locate the following RBA folders and copy them to the render station:
    • D:\Program Files\Kodak\RBA
    • D:\Program Files\Common Files\Kodak\RBA
  2. On the primary server, locate the
    %AraxiHome\CreoAraxi\Support\Patches\Admin folder.
  3. Delete the PPURetryPreventionFlag text file.
  4. On the render station, reinstall PPU.

Note: This problem will be fixed in a later build of 4.0.2.1.
