Symptoms

After renaming the Prinergy primary server, you start Prinergy Workshop and rename a job. Workshop quits and the error message appears.

Cause

When the Prinergy primary server was renamed, the location of the job server was not changed in the database.

Solution

Run the PChangeJobShare utility to update the database.

  1. Quit Prinergy.
  2. Open a command-prompt window.
  3. Type pchangejobshare -n NEWSERVERNAME -o OLDSERVERNAME

  4. Note: Use upper-case letters for the server names—for example, D:\> pchangejobshare -n JUPITER -o YCS9998-999

Note: When renaming a Prinergy primary server, you must also run the PChangeJobShare utility to update the new server name and share name and then run the Orbacusconfig-init utility to update the Orbacus database to the new name. For detailed instructions on how to rename a Prinergy server, see Renaming a Prinergy 4.x Server.
