Symptoms

Every 30 seconds, the Automation daemon restarts, and then stops.

Cause

The Rules-Based Automation (RBA) configuration file is not written correctly. A text line is positioned outside the <appSettings> section.

Solution

Correct the configuration file:

1. Locate C:\Program Files\Kodak\RBA\bin\.
2. Using a text editor such as Notepad, open the AutomationApp.exe.config file.
3. Locate the line: <add key=“MailServer” value=“1.1.1.1” />.
4. Move the line so that it is positioned inside the <appSettings></appSettings> section.
5. Save the file.
