Paper tint is not applied when using profile pairs during output

Product

Kodak® Prinergy® Connect™, version 4.0.2.1 and 4.0.2.2

Operating system

  • Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server
  • Microsoft Windows Server® 2003

Symptoms

When color matching on output using profile pairs (not DeviceLink profiles), with the Rendering Intent of Absolute selected in the process template, a paper tint is not created.

Cause

/CMYKImageRI is set to a value other than /AbsoluteColorimetric in the process template. The process template codes the value for /CMYKImageRI incorrectly, even if it appears correctly in Prinergy Workshop.

Solution

Correct the /CMYKImageRI value in the process template:

  1. Open the process template in a text editor.
  2. Locate the /CMYKImageRI value and change it to /AbsoluteColorimetric.
  3. Save the process template.

Note: If possible, do not modify the process template again. If you do modify it using the Process Template Editor in Prinergy Workshop, you must repeat the above procedure to correct the /CMYKImageRI value again.

Note: This problem is fixed in Prinergy version 4.0.2.3.
