Prinergy 4.0.2.0 upgrade or rehosting fails during database migration

Product

Kodak® Prinergy® Connect™, version 4.0.2.0

Error

In the LoadCreoObjects.log file, located in the \%SystemRoot%\Oracle\10.2.0\installation\logs folder:
TARGETRELATIVEPATH field is missing from the table DBCS_SHFFILEMOVERULES.

Symptoms

The Prinergy 4.0.2.0 upgrade fails and the system rolls back, or rehosting fails during database migration.

Cause

The system being upgraded is running an older version of Prinergy 3.1.0.2a prior to build 61 (3.1.0.2c) that is missing the TARGETRELATIVEPATH field.

Solution

Add the TARGETRELATIVEPATH field to the Prinergy 3.1 system:

  1. Open a command prompt, type sqlplus prinergy/araxi@araxidbserver, and press Enter.
  2. Type ALTER TABLE DBCS_SHFFILEMOVERULES ADD TARGETRELATIVEPATH VARCHAR2(780) null;, and press Enter.
  3. Type Exit to exit Sqlplus.

If you were using the PPU when the upgrade failed, you can proceed with the upgrade.

If you were using the rehosting tool when the failure happened, the Oracle 10 database will not have completely migrated. In this case, you must run setup rollback to remove the Oracle 10 database, then reinstall the Oracle 10 software, and re-run the rehosting tool to save the database and configuration.

  1. Open a command prompt and change the directory to c:\PgyCfg-2.y\OracleUpgrade_10.2.0 or d:\PgyCfg-2.y\OracleUpgrade_10.2.0, depending on your system's drive configuration.
  2. Type setup rollback.
Wait until the wizard removes Oracle 10 from the system.
  3. Use the rehosting tool to reinstall Oracle 10.
  4. After the Oracle 10 software is installed, use the rehosting tool to save the database and configuration.
  5. Continue with the rehosting procedure. For details, see Using the Prinergy Primary Server Rehost Tool Version 2.1.
