ERROR: exception occurred; SQLCODE = -1187
SQLERRM = ORA-01187: cannot read from file 65 because it failed verification

Symptoms

The upgrade fails on the emergency platemaking (EPM) server and the error message appears in the Prinergy Update (PPU) log file.

Cause

The DBCS_HistoryDetail table is corrupt.

Solution

Run the makefile SQL command.

Important: Apply this solution only on an EPM server. The makefile SQL script rebuilds all the tables and indexes for the database and removes all data.

  1. On the EPM server, open a command-prompt window.
  2. Change the directory to \%araxihome%\CreoAraxi\setup\Config\Sql
  3. Type sqlplus prinergy/araxi@araxidbemergencyserver
  4. Type @makefile.sql;

  5. The system rebuilds the tables and indexes in the database and removes all the data.
  6. At the sql> prompt, type exec dbcs_compileobjects;
  7. Locate the \%AraxiHome%\CreoAraxi\support\patches\admin folder, and delete the PPURetryPreventionFlag.txt file.
  8. Perform the Prinergy upgrade again.
