Araxifilereplicator service does not copy files to the failover server

Product

Kodak® Prinergy® Connect™ version 4.x

Symptoms

When you place a test file in the processplans folder and run the AraxiFileReplicator service, the file is not copied to the failover server.

Cause

The OriginalPrimaryNodeName value in the registry is configured with the name of a server that no longer exists.

Note: The value is located in the registry at HKLM\software\creo\araxi\settings\default\system\.

Solution

Reconnect the failover server to the Prinergy system by running the ConfigEPServer script on the failover server.

  1. Log on to the failover server using the Araxi service account.
  2. Open a command-prompt window.
  3. Type ConfigEPServer.cmd -p -l (lowercase L, not the number one).

  4. Note: The -p switch is the primary server name, and the -l switch is the folder where the log file (ConfigEPServer.log) will be written.
  5. After the script finishes, open the log file and verify that all the steps completed successfully.

Note: The ConfigEPServer.cmd file is located in the %AraxiHome%\CreoAraxi\ folder.
