Symptoms

In Prinergy Administrator, the user is assigned the Manage Custom Fields user right.

The user starts Prinergy Workshop and opens the Custom Fields Manager, but all the options are unavailable (read-only).

Solution

Enable managing of custom fields in the registry:

1. On the primary server, open the Registry Editor.
2. Locate the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Creo\Araxi\Settings\
Default\SCUR\USERS
3. Select any user and double-click the key to open it.
4. Change the MANAGECUSTOMFIELDS value from OFF to ON.
5. Close the Registry Editor.
