Symptoms

When the Oracle^® 10 software is being installed during the Prinergy 4.0.2.0 upgrade, the error message appears and refers to the SETUP.EXE file in the C:(or D):\Prinergy\CreoAraxi\setup\
Oracle\Oracle\Oracle_10.2.0\ folder. The system rolls back to Prinergy 3.1.

Solution

Set the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation registry value to 0:

1. On the Prinergy primary server, open the Registry Editor (Start > Run > regedit).
2. In the Registry Editor, locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\
   FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation.
3. Right-click NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation, and select Modify.
4. In the Edit String dialog box, in the Value data box, change the registry value to 0.
5. Click OK.
6. Close the Registry Editor.
7. Restart the server.
8. Retry the upgrade.
