Cannot move more than one job at a time from a remote server

Product

Kodak® Prinergy® Connect™ version 4.0.2.x

Symptoms

When you use the Move Job from Remote Server feature to move two or more jobs at the same time, Prinergy Workshop reports that the operation cannot be completed because the job is in use.

Workshop does successfully move one job at a time.

Cause

The CheckJobLockedState registry key is missing or incorrect. This key prevents the pjobd.exe utility from starting and locking the job when you try to move it.

Solution

Set the CheckJobLockedState key.

  1. On each primary server involved in moving jobs, open a command-prompt window, and type regedit.
  2. In the Registry Editor, locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Creo\Araxi\Settings\
    Default\JOBL\
    .
  3. Locate the CheckJobLockedState key. If it is missing, create it.
  4. Ensure that the key has the following properties:
    Type: REG_DWORD
    Value: 1
  5. Restart the Copy Job JTP.
  6. If the copying process still fails, restart Prinergy.

This problem is fixed in Prinergy 4.1.
