Error |
If you create a TIFF output process templates in Prinergy Evo 1.0.4.2 or earlier, upgrade to Prinergy Evo 1.0.4.4, and then send a file for processing using the TIFF output process template, the TIFF may be generated with the wrong resolution, which could cause the file to potentially fail during output, or create moire or other undesired imaging artifacts. | ||
Symptoms |
|
||
Cause |
In Prinergy Evo 1.0.4.2 and earlier, there were no limits imposed on the resolution generated by the low resolution and high resolution Printer JTPs. This means that in Prinergy Evo 1.0.4.2, you could create a process template using a low resolution Printer JTP set to 2540 DPI. In Prinergy Evo 1.0.4.4, resolution limits have been added so that low resolution printing can only generate up to 720 DPI, and high resolution printing is limited to a minimum resolution of 721 DPI. Therefore, when you open a process template with these settings in Prinergy Evo 1.0.4.4, Prinergy Evo reads in the Process Template Editor dialog box, that the Render section, Pool box is set to printing-to-lores-file, and the Resolution box is set to 2540, and automatically resets the Resolution box to the 300 DPI default for low resolution printing. |
