Product |
Prinergy® Evo 1.x to Prinergy Evo 4.0 | ||
Operating system |
Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server, Mac® OS 9.2.x, OS X.x |
||
Symptoms |
Portions of a plate appear to be screened with FM screening even though you selected an AM dot screening in the Output process template dialog box. The FM screens become visible in sections of the plate where the spot colors were converted to process. |
||
Cause |
The Output process template dialog box, Render section, Spot Color Handling box, is set to Convert to process. |
||
Solution |
In the Refine to PDF process template dialog box, Spot Color Handling section, select the Map All Spot Colors to Process check box. This enables you to convert your spot colors to process when you refine your input file to a PDF file, rather than during output. The refine process creates an unscreened vector object filled with the CMYK recipe associated with the spot colors, which can then be screened using the screen settings you defined in the Output process template. Note: This is no longer an issue in Prinergy Evo 4.1 or later. |
