Perform a reset to clear process problems in Prinergy Evo

Product

  All versions of Prinergy® Evo

Platform

All

Operating system

  All

Symptoms

A basic feature  or process has stopped working during certain processing steps and a restart does not fix the problem.

Cause

Sometimes processes can cause JTPs to get into a state where they will not process any subsequent requests. This state can persist through a restart of the Prinergy Evo software and even through a restart of the server computer.

Solution

Reset Prinergy Evo. A Reset differs from a Restart in that a Restart just stops the Prinergy Evo software and starts it with the same configuration and historical data as before. A Reset actually changes the configuration and/or process records of the Prinergy Evo server software.

  1. In the Prinergy Evo Administrator dialog box, Tools tab, click Reset Evo.
  2. In the Reset Evo dialog box, How severe should this reset be of Prinergy Evo list, select Level 1 - Discard all incomplete (active and queued) processes.
  3. Click Reset Now.
  4. If Prinergy Evo processing is still stopped, in the How severe should this reset be of Prinergy Evo list, select Level 2-Discard all processes.
  5. All active, queued, and historical processes are removed.

  6. If Prinergy Evo processing is still stopped, from the Save/Restore tab, click Save.
  7. In the Save Prinergy Evo Configuration dialog box, click Save Now to save your configuration settings.
  8. In the Tools tab, click Reset Evo.
  9. In the Reset Evo dialog box, How severe should this reset be of Prinergy Evo list, select Level 3 (restore factory defaults).

Warning: This will remove any current Prinergy Evo configuration setting and move back to the original factory configuration settings.
