All versions of Prinergy® Evo |
||
Symptoms |
Options, such as the TrapEditor plug-in, that require a license from the Prinergy Evo server are not able to find the license. In addition, when you start the Prinergy Evo client, the program displays the Connect to a Prinergy Evo Server dialog box. The dialog box may display that no servers can be found even though Prinergy Evo servers are on the network. |
||
Cause |
Machines may be in separate subnets, an identifiably separate part of an organization's network. Alternatively, a switch or router may have multicast filtering enabled between the Prinergy Evo server and client. Multicast filtering causes software that use licenses not to find the license server.
Solution |
Disable multicast filtering on routers and switches on the network between the server and client and make sure that the server and client are in the same subnet.
