Symptoms

Extra white strips appear in output between TIFF strips on the Panther RIP.

Cause

An interaction between Prinergy Evo’s LZW encoder and the Panther RIP’s LZW decoder appears to add white space at the end of some TIFF strips.

Solution

Use a different compression method. For 1-bit TIFFs, CCITT-G4 is recommended.
