Error

Output fails and an error appears, Unable to allocate the required resources for the task.

Symptoms

If you attempt to output PDF files or imposition files to Kodak Matchprint Inkjet or Kodak Veris digital proofers, output fails with an error message.

Cause

The process template that was created lacked essential information about the device (that is, media information or layout information).

Solution

Perform the following steps:

1. Open the process template.
2. In the Device section, ensure that the process template is pointing to the correct device.
3. In the Layout section, ensure the appropriate lists have valid information.
4. From the File menu, choose Save and overwrite the process template or create a new process template and use it to output the files you need.
