Network binding order causes Prinergy Evo software to slow down or not to start

Product

All versions of Kodak® Prinergy® Evo™

Symptoms

The Process Template Editor takes a long time to start on remote workstations. The Prinergy Evo Server software fails to start, or is unstable.

Cause

This is caused by the binding order of network interface cards (NICs) on servers that have multiple connections.

Solution

Adjust the list of connections so that the primary network interface used by Prinergy Evo is listed first.

  1. Log on to the Prinergy Evo server computer as an administrator.
  2. Right-click My Network Places on your desktop and click Properties.
  3. In the window that appears, select Advanced > Advanced Settings.
  4. In the Advanced Settings dialog box, click the Adapters and Bindings tab.
  5. Adjust the order of connections by clicking a connection in the Connections list and then clicking an adjacent arrow.

  6. Click OK.
