Symptoms

When using an output from imposition process template, a back surface of a sheet set from a multiple sheet signature may appear before the front surface in the View by Queue.

Cause

Systems with multiple output licenses may cause reordering because tasks are split across job ticket processors (JTPs) for load balancing. If one surface completes before another, it can appear in the queue first.

Solution

New code has been added to the Prinergy Evo 4.0 software for the Process Manager, which can configure whether tasks are always split across JTPs. The default behavior is to allow tasks to split, in order to allow for more efficient processing.

To disable splitting tasks across JTPs:

1. On the Prinergy Evo server computer, use Microsoft^® Windows^® Explorer to navigate to the following file:

   <hard drive>\Program Files\Kodak\Prinergy Evo (version number)\config_data\ System\ ProcessManager\config.txt

2. Using Notepad, add the following code at the end of the file,
   Jasper.PMAN.LoadBalancingAmongTasks=false
   

3. Save the file.




4. Restart the Prinergy Evo Server software.
