Symptoms

Kodak Xpo™ 3.00.79 software fails to start. You may see an error message, similar to the following:

Cause

Xpo software needs to be updated so that it will run properly on Windows Server 2003 operating system.

In addition, Xpo 3.1.42 software for Kodak Lotem^® 800 platesetter and Kodak Lotem 400 platesetter does not support the Windows Server 2003 operating system. For this configuration, you need to install the Xpo 3.1.42 Windows Server 2003 update.

Solution

1. Download the update file.
2. Extract the compressed file using the password kodak.
3. Restart the Prinergy Evo server computer.
4. Ensure that the Prinergy Evo software and the Xpo software are not running.
5. Double-click the Xpo3.1.42.Supp2003.exe file.
6. Follow the online instructions. The computer will automatically restart when the installation is complete.
7. Start the Prinergy Evo software and the Xpo software.
