Product

  • PS/M 8
  • PS/M 7.1
  • Brisque® 5
  • Brisque 4.X

Platform

  Macintosh®

Operating system

  Mac OS®

Symptoms

PDF files that are created using the PDF2Go process display with lines when the PDF is opened in Adobe® Acrobat® 6.0, and in Adobe Reader® 7.0. The files RIP with no problems in Brisque and PS/M.

Cause

This is a known problem and it has been forwarded to Adobe.

Solution

In Brisque 4.x and all PS/M versions, Adobe suggests the following workaround in Adobe Acrobat 6.0:

  1. From the Acrobat menu, select Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences dialog box, clear the Smooth images and Smooth line art check boxes. The hairlines will disappear.

Note: In Adobe Reader 7.0, from the View menu, select Preferences. Under Page Display, clear the Smooth line art and Smooth images check boxes.

In Brisque 5.x:
In the PDF2Go dialog box, under General, select RIP at Multiple Resolutions.
