Sometime the RIP of a PDF2Go output file results in a Brisque job with lines

Product

  • Brisque® 4.x
  • Brisque 5.0
  • PS/M 7.x
  • PS/M 8.0

Platform

  • All Brisque platforms
  • Macintosh®

Operating system

  • IBM® AIX® 4.3.3 or 5.2
  • Mac OS®

Symptoms

When a PDF2Go output file is RIPed, the resulting Brisque job is displayed with lines.

Cause

There are 2 possible causes to this problem:

  • The resolutions in both RIPs are not identical. For example, the resolution in the first RIP before the PDF2Go file was created was 80, and the resolution in second RIP performed on the PDF file was 100.
  • A scale other than 100% was defined in the RIP dialog box.

Solution

In Brisque 4.1 and all PS/M versions:
Make sure to use the same resolutions in both RIPs, and do not use a scale value other than 100% in the RIP dialog box.

In Brisque 5.x:
In the PDF2Go dialog box, under General, select RIP at Multiple Resolutions, as shown below.
