Error

The server has detected some difficulties with your system.
Error: Cookies must be enabled in your browser

Symptoms

When you type a valid username and password on the Creative Workflow/Asset Library (or TeamWorks/EyeMedia) login page using Internet Explorer version 5.01 or later, the error message displays. You are unable to log in.

Cause

The server name contains the character “_”. For example, http://freds_computer.printername.com.

In order to prevent malicious Web sites from accessing cookies from another site, Microsoft strictly enforces domain name restrictions. These restrictions are defined in Microsoft's Request for Comments (RFC) documents, beginning with Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

Solution

Take either of the following actions:

  • Use the IP address instead (recommended).
  • Change the name of the server.
