Error

ERROR: Libraries are not licensed

Symptoms

When you log in to an InSite/Prepress Portal system running integrated with Creative Workflow/TeamWorks, the Portal home page displays Projects, Jobs, and Libraries, even though libraries are not licensed on the Creative Workflow/TeamWorks server. If you try to click Libraries, an error message appears, indicating that libraries are not licensed. This is correct. However, customers would typically not expect Libraries to appear at all.

Cause

The main Portal page is part of the InSite/Prepress Portal code in an integrated system. The InSite/Prepress Portal server has no means of checking Creative Workflow/TeamWorks licensing to determine whether Projects, Libraries, or both should appear on the page.

Solution

There is a registry value on the InSite/Prepress Portal server called PWEB\TwamLibrariesLicensed. If you set this value to FALSE, the Libraries heading will not appear on the main Portal page.

Ideally, this registry value would be automatically set based on Creative Workflow/TeamWorks licensing, but for now, you must set this registry value manually. The danger is that if a customer later adds a license key that supports libraries, you would have to manually reset the registry key to TRUE to allow Libraries to appear on the main Portal page.

Note that there is a similar registry key, TwamProjectsLicensed that is used if the system is integrated with InSite/Prepress Portal and libraries are licensed, but projects are not. (This option is not currently on the price list, so should not be an issue). Also note that this is not an issue for standalone systems; when there is no InSite/Prepress Portal server involved, the Creative Workflow/TeamWorks server controls the main Portal page and adjusts the display of Projects and Libraries correctly.
