Background |
You can configure Creative Workflow/Asset Library (or TeamWorks/EyeMedia) to automatically apply default source profiles to untagged elements (elements that do not currently have any associated source profiles) on upload. You use the administration Web pages to select the default source profiles that you want applied. (A user can also override any source profiles applied to a specific element in Creative Workflow/TeamWorks after the element is uploaded.) Creative Workflow/TeamWorks ships with a number of source profiles already installed. However, if the customer wishes to make additional source profiles available for selection, they must know where to place the profiles so that the profiles can be identified and listed in the administration Web pages and in Creative Workflow/TeamWorks. As well, when creating a color target in Color Target Manager on the Creative Workflow/TeamWorks server, you must select a separation profile and a monitor source profile. (Monitor source profiles are the custom ICC color profiles that the customer receives from Kodak Color Services.) The customer must know where to place their separation and monitor source profiles in order to make the profiles available for selection in a color target. | ||
Procedure |
To add a new profile, copy the .icc file to the appropriate folder:
When you place a source profile in the Source ICC Profiles folder, it automatically appears in the drop-down source profile lists in InSite Creative Administration (formerly TeamWorks Administration) under Configuration Settings > Color Management, as well as in the Creative Workflow/TeamWorks interface. (You may need to refresh the page.) When you place a separation profile in the Separation ICC Profiles folder, it automatically appears in Separation Profile list in Color Target Manager. (You may need to refresh Color Target Manager.) Note that the Source ICC Profiles and Separation ICC Profiles folders also include a subfolder called unused. If the user does not want a certain profile to appear in the profile list, they can move the profile into the unused folder. They can easily move the profile back into the root folder later if they want it to appear in the profile list again. When you place a monitor source profile in the ICC-Profiles folder, you can browse to and select it from the Monitor Source Profile box in Color Target Manager. (Note that this is the recommended location for monitor source profiles, although you can browse to and select profiles from other locations as well.) When you create a color target, a new folder is created for the color target in Twam\data\ColorManagement and copies of the separation and monitor source profiles that you select for the color target are placed in this new folder. The original copies of the profiles remain in the Separation ICC Profiles and ICC-Profiles folders. |
