Symptoms |
When you do a large upload (many MBs) and have the Java Console open, the upload slows to a crawl after a while and all subsequent uploads are also slow. |
||
Cause |
The Java Console seems to keep building an in-memory buffer that consumes major resources once many log entries are made. Once the console comes up automatically, simply closing it doesn’t help. You must turn off the console display. |
||
Solution |
Turn off the Java Console so that is does not pop up automatically. To do this, in the Control Panel, double-click Java. On the Advanced tab, expand Java Console and change the selection from Show Console to Hide Console. Note that you can also click the Clear button in the Java Console window, which will speed up uploads until you do the next large upload. |
