Existing staff user is no longer listed in InSite Creative Administration [ID: 79350]

Product

  • Kodak® InSite™ Creative Workflow and Kodak InSite Asset Library 3.0
  • Kodak TeamWorks and Kodak EyeMedia 2.1.x

Platform

PC

Operating system

  Microsoft® Windows® 2000

Symptoms

After editing a staff user's account information through the Creative Workflow/Asset Library (or TeamWorks/EyeMedia) Web pages, the staff user no longer appears in the Staff Users list in InSite Creative Administration (formerly TeamWorks Administration).

Alternatively, a staff user created in TeamWorks/EyeMedia 2.1.0 is no longer listed after upgrading the system to 2.1.1 or later.

In either case, the staff user account is still active. The staff user can still log in to the system and they are still listed on the Managing User Access pages.

Cause

Editing the staff user's account or upgrading the system caused the staff user to no longer be flagged explicitly as a staff user in the database, resulting in the removal of the staff user's name from the Staff Users list in the administration Web pages.

Solution

Complete the following steps to run a staff user migration SQL script. The script identifies any existing staff users with null customer IDs and flags them explicitly as staff users in the database so that they appear in the Staff Users list.

  1. In InSite Creative Administration/TeamWorks Administration, under Staff Users, count the staff users listed.
  2. Download the Staff User Migration Script to the server and unzip it.
  3. Open a command prompt window and type the following:

    Sqlplus prinergy/araxi
    @staffusermigration.sql;
    Quit;

The following text should appear:

Migrate 2.1.0 site user to staff users.
Updating staff users.
Migrate 2.1.0 site user to staff users: End of anonymous block.
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

  1. Close the command prompt window and return to the Staff Users list in the administration Web pages. Count the number of staff users listed. The number of staff users should now be greater than the number of staff users that you counted in step 1.

A permanent fix is available in TeamWorks/EyeMedia 2.1.1.940 and Creative Workflow/Asset Library 3.0.1.1111.
