Error

When you start Smart Review from a project, the following Java error message appears:

ERROR - SR - Could not determine MV Version number. Assuming < 4.2

When you start Smart Review from a job and try to approve the color for a page, the following message appears:

Approve Color (Disabled - Your version of Matchprint Virtual Proofing System is not supported on this System. Please upgrade to the latest version of Matchprint Software to calibrate monitor.

Symptoms

When you start Smart Review from a project, the above error message appears.

When you start Smart Review from a job, Not Verified appears in the Calibration Status area, and the above error message appears when to try to approve the color for the page.

Cause

The permissions set on the file
Library\ApplicationSupport\Kodak GCG\
Matchprint Virtual\InstallVer.plist on the Macintosh workstation are incorrect.

Solution

Set the following permissions on InstallVer.plist on the Macintosh workstation:

• Owner: System read-write access
• Group: Admin read access only
• Other: Read access only
