Symptoms

When staring Smart Review on a Mac, the above runtime exception appears rather than the expected prompt to trust the certificate or (if trust has always been chosen) the drawing of the Smart Review window.

Cause

Clicking Details in the dialog box shows that there is a problem in the Java Web start code with the Smart Review Thawte certificate.

Solution

1. Quit Smart Review, and quick the keychain program if it is open.
2. In the <user home>\Library folder, rename the Keychains folder to something else.
3. Start Smart Review. The trust prompt should appear again, and you should see that a new Keychains folder has been created. Note that all of your passwords and trusted certificate information will be lost.
