Command: munload

Description:

Manually unloads a plate from the drum. The bottom of the load ramp is first moved in towards the drum. The drum unwinds the plate until the trailing edge has moved the distance specified by munload_ramp_offset up the load ramp, then the load ramp is moved away from the drum and the plate is unwound until the Leading Edge (LE) clamps reach their actuator position.

The whole point of this exercise to avoid crashing the top edge of the plate into the suction-cup side of the picker during a manual plate unload.

A field in media types called manual_unload controls whether or not a plate currently loaded onto the drum will be manually or automatically unloaded. If this field is set to some value other than zero, then any plate which uses this media type will be forced to unload back up the load table and be removed from the machine manually (i.e. manual unload). In theory, ANY plate that has either been manually of automatically loaded may be manually unloaded, but the intention is that ONLY MANUALLY LOADED PLATES should be manually unloaded.

The purpose of making the manual unload selectable by media type is to allow individual plates of the same media type as but different size from the stack of plates currently loaded onto the machine to be manually loaded and then automatically unloaded and sent through the processor (whew, what a sentence!). Plates of a different media type may be manually loaded and then manually unloaded.

This command is not supported on E-type machines.
