Service Information:

The drum speed is faster than the recorder can handle. The maximum drum speed depends on a combination of the drum size, type of DPE used, the stroke width, and the version of the thermal head LVD electronics. Most likely the error is due to an incorrectly set parameter.

View the diagnostic monitor output for more details on the requested speed and the upper limit of the hardware.

Operator Action:

The specified drum speed for the current media type is faster than the recorder is capable of doing. Check that the correct media type was selected for the image, then try the image again. If it still fails, call Creo service for help.

Cause:

• The drum speed parameter for the current media type may be too high.
• If sensitivity-based imaging is enabled, the sensitivity parameter for the current media type may be too low. Or, the sensitivity is enabled when it shouldn't be, and the sensitivity setting is not set up. Either the sensitivity needs to be disabled or the media's sensitivity value needs to be corrected.
• If a drum speed series plot was attemped, the requested speed may be too high.
• The head's stroke width may be uninitialized or corrupted, and thus too high. If the head's swidth is 240 or less, then this isn't the problem.
• The current plot mode has an invalid setting for pixels_per_stroke. Make sure the workstation requested the correct plot mode, and that the pps for the mode is correct.
