Error Number: 16058

Error Message:

IMAGE: requested laser power of %lu.%03lu Watts is above the limit of %lu.%03lu Watts

Applies to:

  • Thermal

Service Information:

The requested laser power before a plot was higher than the preset limit. The limit is hard-coded and dependent on the type of head (20W or 40W). Both the requested power and the limit are specified in the error message.

Operator Action:

Check that the correct media type was selected for the current image, then try the image again. If the problem persists, call Creo Customer Support for help.

Or, if a laser power test series plot was started or underway, the requested laser power was higher than the capabilities of the imaging head. In this case, specify a lower power level or a lower step increment value.

Cause:

  • The NVS hdm wpower setting may be too high.
  • The workstation specified a media type that was not normally used, and has a NVS hdm wpower setting that is too high.
  • A wpower series plot was started or underway, and the requested laser power for the next series step was beyond the hard-coded limit for the current head type.
  • The recorder has a lower power head than you think it has.
