Service Information:

The head can't measure enough light on the shutter sensor to make a measurement. Test to see if the laser is really on and that the laser power setpoint is reasonable. Try with "laser current", "head bp on" instead of with "laser on" to see if the problem is media set up related or laser / shutter sensor related. Finally, this may indicate a failed shutter sensor.

Operator Action:

Reset machine and try again. Check media selection. If error persists call service.

Cause:

• Not enough light detected on shutter sensor to measure the profile. Possible shutter sensor failure.
