Implementation of this FCO will solve problems of noise from the vacuum valve and leakages.
Replace the old valve with a new and improved one.
3.1 Switch off the power to the machine via the
main switch.
3.2 Open the lower back panel after pulling out the main power cord and the
four screws that hold the back
panel to the main frame.
3.3 Release the two clamps that hold the black flexible hoses to the straight
adaptor on the valve (do not
attempt to open the straight valve from its
thread).
Do it for both valves.
3.4 Disconnect the connector of the fit which contains the wiring.
3.5 Open the nut 3/8" which holds the vacuum valve to the main frame.
3.6 Pull out the flexible hose which connects the vacuum detector to the
valve.
3.7 Remove the old valves.
3.8 The new valve holding it is different. Insert the new valve in its place
and secure it with the supplied screw,
spring washer and nut.
3.9 Connect the flexible hose from the vacuum detector (the detector itself is
not installed).
3.10 Connect the mini fit connector which connects the wiring to the valve.
3.11 Connect the flexible hoses to the valves and tighten the clamps.
4.1 Activate the pump several times and check for good and
smooth operation.
4.2 Put the film in full format on the drum.
Activate the vacuum for 15 minutes and check that the
vacuum
pump is functioning well and the film is held in its place.
The kit for implementing this FCO consists of:
509C38898 VACUUM VALVE WIRING ASSY TYPE II x 2
None
The replaced valve can be disposed.
Parts for implementing this FCO will be available as of July 1st and will be shipped according to orders from each subsidiary.
