Explanation of Conditional Change

Implement this FCO in cases where the electrostatic discharge is needed in the film path.

FCO Kit part no. : 510F19290
Effective on machines with S/N lower then 9430XXXX

Reason for Change

Sometimes electrostatic discharge is needed in the film path. The film is attached to the drum during loading and that can cause registration problems.  The film can get stuck during unload due to the electrostatic.

Description of Change

Electrostatic discharge brushes have been added in four places in the loading and unloading path.

Change Procedure

  1. Turn off the plotter.

  2. Pull out the loading system.

  3. Remove the CLAMP from the loading system by releasing the two shaft clamp housings (4 screws) and the two springs.

  4. Remove the two clamp-CAM from both sides of the clamp.
