FCO #19374 Dolev 800P Load & Unload Assy -Solving Scratches on Film

Replacing the loading film guide and the film guide tube with new guides to eliminate scratches on film in the loading path that are caused by the loading film guide or the film guide tube   

Perform this FCO in cases of scratches on film that are caused by the loading film guide or the film guide tube assembly in the loading system.

Reason for Change

Scratches on film in the loading path that are caused by the loading film guide or by the film guide tube. It can be eliminated by using new guides.

Description of Change

Replacing the loading film guide and the film guide tube with new guides.    

Change Procedure

1. Power off the Imagesetter using the control panel ON/OFF switch
   
   
2. Open the left and right service door.
   
   
3. Open the loading unit compartment doors.
   
   
4. Remove the light-proof covers from both sides of the unit.
   
   
5. Remove the E-ring that secures the top of the left lift-o-mat piston.
   
   
6. Tilt the piston downwards.
   
   
7. Open the two track locks on each side of the system.
   
   
8. Pull the system forward 10 cm.
   
   
9. Reinsert the piston.
   
   
10. Remove the loading film guide (#62) and the two film guide supports 11.  Remove the film guide tube assy (#61) and the two film guide holders (#59) by releasing screws (#5) from both sides.   
    
    
11. Install the supplied upper film guide.
    
    
12. Install the supplied film guide.
    
    
13. Tilt the piston downwards again.
    
    
14. Push the loading system back and secure it.
    
    
15. Reinsert the piston and replace the E-ring.
    
    
16. Close all covers and doors.

Test Procedure

Load and unload about 10 sheets of film from each cassette and make sure that no scratches appear.
