Dolev 800 New Static Optic

The Dolev 800 Static Optic is replaced by a new Static Optic that is more reliable ( Laser Diode Static Optic )

1. Reason for Change

The Laser diode Static Optics is more reliable. It is based on a Laser Diode and will eliminate the need for the ND filters, accoustic optic modulator and RF driver.

2. Description of Change

The Static Optics assembly and the RF driver are replaced with a laser dioded Static Optics assembly and a new Laser Diode Driver. To work with the laser diode Static Optic, use the latest micro version.

3. Change Procedure

3.0     Power off the imagesetter.
3.1     Disassemble the Static Optic assembly and the RF driver.
3.2     Install the supplied static optic in the same location where the removed static optic had been located.
          Use two of the 3 screws that were used for the old static optic ( the left and the center screws)
3.3     Connect the fiber cable to the fiber connector.
3.4     Install the LDR INT. ASSY in the place of the RF driver.
3.5     Connect the LDR INT. Cable between the new driver and the controller connectors.
3.6     Connect the LDR cable between the LDR INT. cable connector and the static optic.
3.7     Turn on the imagesetter and verify " Standby " status.

4. Test Procedure

4.1     Run "SET LASER INTENSITY", setting the intensity at various levels between 500 to 9000 and make
          sure that the function is working properly.
4.2     Expose files in varied resolutions and verify good operation and quality.
