During Batch Testing
The Dolev 800 diagnostic program does not distinguish between long and short batches. Therefore either the single slash (/) or double slash (//) command can be used for batch testing. A complete diagnostic of all tests is run in less than 7 minutes.
Run the entire diagnostic program as a batch by entering a double slash, //. If any portion of the test fails, the fail message appears in the third field of the diagnostic screen.
The categories of the Dolev 800 test program are displayed under the heading TEST TREE. Note: The first test on the PS/2 diagnostics is the SFLM board.
| 1. CPU | 4. STROBE | 7. MECHANICS |
| 2. OMC | 5. INTEGRATION | 8. OPTICS |
| 3. CRI | 6. DRIVERS | 9. UTILITIES |
The tests may be executed in a batch. A single PASS/FAIL result is displayed for the entire batch.
Example: To execute a batch consisting of all the routines in the Dolev 800 diagnostics program enter the key combination /<CR>. All of the Dolev 800 functions are tested in turn, and a PASS/FAIL result is displayed for the entire batch.
Executing a batch from a lower level of the test tree generates test results for smaller portions of the entire program.
EXAMPLE: To test the Dolev 800 and receive a PASS/FAIL result for each CRI test, use the following procedure:
Enter 5 on the keyboard to select CRI from the Diagnostics Home Screen
While batch testing is being performed, test information is displayed on the trace line. Four fields of test information are displayed on the screen:
| Trace: | The Trace line is located at the far left of the screen, above window D. The path of selections is traced from the Test Tree to the Previous Selection to the Trace line. |
| Prompt: | The Prompt line is located at the bottom left corner of the screen. Varioussystem messages are displayed on this line. |
| Operation: | The Operation line, located at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, displays characters entered by the user on the keyboard. |
| Mode: | The mode of operation is displayed above the Help menu. The default mode of operation is Execute Mode. |
