Description

The stepper motor (Cat. No. 503C25245) is located in the left stack of power driver boards on the upper half of the Standard Controller. The Stepper Driver board is connected to J6 on the Standard Controller connector panel. The board drives the stepper motor. The motor is responsible for lead screw motion and has a 40 Watt maximum.

There are two green LEDs on the driver:
    SHRT -
    VOLT -

In addition there is a microswitch. There is only one setting on the board:
X= on O = off.


The board controls the motor motion by translating control signals from the OMC board into power driving signals to the motor. The power supply voltages VM and SP12V are supplied by the Power Converter and Misc.

Replacement

1. Switch the machine OFF.
   
   
2. Open the right side door of the Dolev 800 & the standard controller cover.
   
   
3. Release the board and remove it from the crate.
   
   
4. Install the new board.
   
   
5. Close the right side door of the Dolev 800 & the standard controller cover and restore power.

Check

1. Turn the machine on.
   
   
2. Run Diagnostics and verify that the board diagnostic does not fail.
