Dongle does not appear as green light in Creo Feature Licensing Manager

Product

Creo Feature Licensing

Component

Creo Feature Licensing Manager

Symptoms

Dongle does not appear as a "green light" in the Creo Feature Licensing Manager.

Causes

  • The dongle is not plugged into the computer.
  • The dongle is not recognized by the computer.
  • The license does not match the dongle. The dongle may be a replacement that does not match the feature license.

Solution

If the dongle is plugged in but the computer is not recognizing the dongle, see Troubleshooting Dongle and USB Problems.

If the dongle is plugged in, the computer recognizes the dongle, but the customer dongle appears as a "red light" in Creo Feature Licensing Manager, the customer dongle does not match the feature license:

  • Remove the customer dongle and check the dongle ID.
  • Plug in the service dongle.
  • Plug in the customer dongle.
The customer dongle appears as a "yellow light" in Creo Feature Licensing Manager.
  • Use Dongle>Find Dongle to identify the dongle ID in the license.
  • If the dongle ID in the license does not match the physical dongle ID, insert the correct license for the dongle into the Creo Feature Licensing Manager. (Send a request to LicenseKey@creo.com to re-generate the license for the dongle if needed.)
  • The customer dongle appears as a "green light" in Creo Feature Licensing Manager.
