Replacing DSM Board to DSM2

Description

The new DSM2 board improves carriage movement and performance.

1. Board Replacement

   1. Open the E-BOX front cover.
   2. Remove the DSM board.
   3. Disconnect the Molex plug (6 pins) from the J19 on the mother board (see picture no. 1)

4. Disconnect the Molex plug (4 pins) from the E-BOX harness located under the middle support (see picture no. 2).

5. Slide the new DSM2 board into the E-BOX.
6. Connect the two plugs into the back of the board (see picture no. 3).

7. Close the E-BOX cover.
8. Power on the machine and application.
9. From the application, go to: Hardware -> Expose system -> carriage system and right click on carriage motor. The following two windows open:

10. In the Carriage Motor window (see picture no. 4), change the Stepper Factor from 0800 to 0F90 and click Write;
    Or,
    In the Properties: Carriage Motor window (see picture no. 5), change the Stepper Factor to 3984.
