Description

This patch solves the drifting problem on the XY motor by adding the Init XY sequence after each paper disposal task.
Note: To disable this option, perform step 4 under Test Procedure.
This patch includes:

• New Loading system script files
• Patch #1 for Ver 3.20.01 - Patch #1 resolves the communication error message
  Operation 'put' of DDB board failed - OpCode80 for the VLSI configuration only.

Prerequisites

• Local2 machine with Version 3.20.01
• Implementation of FCO 28061 - Resolving All DC Motors Drifting On Local2 Machines
• XY - DC motor drifting

Installation Procedure

1. Save the attached file named Lotem800_3.20.01_Patch3.exe to a blank diskette in drive A of your computer.
2. Using the application, open the front door of the Lotem 800.
3. To access the Lotem floppy drive in the E-box, manually open the right side door.
4. Close the application.
5. Insert the diskette with the saved file into the Lotem floppy drive.
   Important: Before installation, make sure all applications are closed.
6. Using Explorer, browse to drive A and double-click the Lotem800_3.20.01_Patch3.exe file. The Lotem Update - Installation Wizard window appears, and automatically loads the script files. When the script files are loaded, the Welcome - Lotem Update Setup window appears.
7. Click the Next button to load the program.
8. Remove the floppy diskette from drive A.
9. Close the right side door, and close the front door.
10. Start the application.
11. Verify that the Lotem 800 machine is in Ready mode.
    Note: The patch updates the Lotem 800\VERSION\Service Pack to 3.

Test Procedure

1. Make sure there is a slip-sheet first up in the cassette.
2. Perform the paper disposal task and verify the following:
   • The XY Bar enters the cassette, identifies paper and performs paper disposal.
   • The XY Bar re-enters the cassette and identifies a plate.
   • Init XY is automatically performed
     The system performs plate loading only after completing the above steps.
3. Expose two plates. Verify that the Expose process is completed with no error messages.
4. To disable the extra Initialization of the XY Bar, change the flag on the loading system as follows:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Scitex\Projects\Lotem 800\IO OBJECTS\Loading System\Load Plate\Paper Disposal Stage\Enable Init after Paper
   Note: 1 = enable, 0 = disable
