Background

PC controller software works hand-in-hand with several firmware applications. This document provides instructions for installation of the pattern data firmware application that is compatible with PC controller 3.70.02.
Important: Pattern data firmware is relevant only for Spectrum machines.

Requirements

PC controller software version 3.70.02

Procedure

1. Verify that PC controller software version 3.70.02 is installed.
2. Shut down the Lotem application, as required.
3. Close the Splot program, as required. This frees the serial port.
4. Access the DOS prompt.
5. At the DOS prompt, type C:\th2\tools\bload f=mcedata.bin i=data p=8. The pattern data firmware begins to load.
   Note: When the pattern data firmware has loaded successfully, the DOS prompt appears.

Test

After all firmware applications have been installed, you can verify successful installation by typing QUANTUM>>sw dir. A list of installed firmware applications will appear.
