Rewiring the water pump for a 230 V inlet

Important: When the water pump motor is dispatched from the factory its wiring is only suitable for a 115 V inlet.
You must complete the steps below to convert the motor so that it is suitable for 230 V inlet (as used by the Lotem 800 Family platesetters).

  1. A wiring diagram is dispatched with each new water pump motor. Follow the instructions on the diagram to rewire the water pump motor so that it is suitable for a 230 V inlet:

  2. Feed the wires through the hole on the side of the motor:

  3. Three wires are fed into the motor:
    1. Green grounding wire. Connect to the grounding connection.
    2. 1-ONE cable. Connect to adpater 4.
    3. 2-TWO cable. Connect to adapter 1.

  1. Use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer to install the wire bracket onto the side of the water pump motor. Make sure the bracket is placed at a 45° angle:

  2. Use a flat head screwdriver and two screws to secure the wiring cover to the pump. (Click to view image)
  3. Connect the wire locking bracket—secure it with two Phillips screws.

  4. Connect the motor to the motor base. Make sure the right side of the motor is touching the base walls:
