Symptoms

When using Service Shell 2.3 on Windows 95, the firmware upgrade kit and/or QuantumSeries.spt script fail to run.

Cause

MCE firmware versions 1.20 and earlier, are only compatible with QuantumSeries scripts versions 0.09 and earlier.

Solution

• If using MCE firmware 1.20 and earlier, make sure that the QuantumSeries script is version 0.09 or earlier.
• Download the relevant firmware upgrade file.
  Extract the file and replace the existing QuantumSeries.spt file, located in the Device folder: c:\ServiceShell\scripts\device\.
