Service Shell passwords expire 15 Apr 2007. Upgrade to CFL.

Note: Do not insert the service dongle when running the Service Shell Host Configuration wizard on Magnus 400 Quantum devices.

Download Description
Service Shell 3.3 Installer

Note: Service Shell 3.3 provides a basic access level for sites that do not yet have feature licensing installed or for Shared Maintenance customers with MPE machines where CFL could be problematic. In these emergency situations, install 3.3 on customer workstations. You can also install 3.3 on service laptops and RC workstations. 		Service Shell 3.3 installer for both the Client and Host.
Install the Host and Client software on both customer workstations and Kodak workstations(or laptops). Review the Service Shell 3.3 Release Notes prior to install.

When CFL Server is not installed or is disabled AND a new registry key is created and set, Service Shell 3.3 allows unlicensed access to:
  • Device Monitor
  • Log Viewer
  • Service Shell Options
  • Host Configuration Wizard
Service Shell 3.3 only allows access to advanced Service Shell features including Test Plot, Scripts, Firmware Downloads, Loop Test Version Checker, BART and Device Change Tracker when CFL Server is running and a service dongle is present. Service laptop installers for edge detect camera

Service Shell patch for Bug Zipper Archive This patch fixes a bug that occurred with Windows 2003 and XP. Because the date was not being captured properly under certain local settings, the Bug Zipper would fail. It also:
  • reduces the number of Print Console event logs archived in Bug Zipper to those created/modified in the last 7 days if there are more than 10 PC event logs
  • captures all logs files in the \PrintConsole\Log\LogManagerLog folder
  • captures 3.x/4.x *.dmp log files
Service Host 2.5xx and 2.6 releases of Bug Zipper do not include any of the above features.

To install the patch:

  1. Download the zip file and save it to a known location on the target workstation.
  2. Locate the Service Shell install drive (most likely D).
  3. Browse to the \ServiceShell\BugZipper folder.
  4. Replace the existing BugZipperArchive.bat with the new BugZipperArchive.bat.
  5. Save the doff.exe file to the \ServiceShell\BugZipper folder.
